Vegan Pumpkin Ice Cream by Isa Chandra Moskowitz

capture_19122014_233208Instead of using frozen bananas, Isa makes this ice cream with cashews and rice milk as her base.  She places her base ingredients in a blender, and adds her flavors, pumpkin puree,  sugar, sea salt, vanilla, corn syrup, pumpkin pie spice (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and all spice), and a little olive oil.  She uses an ice cream maker to freeze her mixture.  But, you could also make it without an ice cream maker.  She tops her home made ice cream with candied, pumpkin seeds which she also demonstrates.  This is a delicious, dairy free ice cream.  Enjoy. Dairy Free Chocolate & Vanilla Ice Cream by Amber Locke

Chocolate Fudge Brownies by Anja

capture_13122014_122245You wouldn’t believe you could make chocolate brownies with these healthy ingredients.  In a blender, Anja adds black beans, bananas, brown rice malt syrup,  cinnamon powder, cocoa powder, and vanilla powder.  After she blends the mixture, shes adds oats, and pours her batter into her pan and bakes it.  She likes to serve them with chocolate mouse.  Wonderful!  Try it, and Enjoy. Banana Ice Cream by Miyoko Schinner

capture_14092014_112743Miyoko shows how to make a delicious ice cream substitue with this very easy technique.  She blends frozen bananas, with a touch of almond milk and vanilla extract to make the vanilla flavored ice cream substitute.  She then adds cocoa powder to the blender to make a chocolate flavored treat.  She points out that you can add up to about 1/3 of the banana mixture with other frozen fruits, like strawberries or mangoes, to make different flavored treats.   This is a very, very easy technique to make a delicious and healthy dessert.
