Hearty Meatless Burger by Anja

capture_16012015_231212The main ingredients for this burger are mushrooms and lentils.  In the video, Anja demonstrates how to saute the mushrooms without any oil.  She adds the mushrooms and canned lentils to a food processor, along with tapioca flour, oats, garlic powder, onion powder, fennel seeds, mixed Italian herbs, sage, paprika, tomato paste, and salt and pepper.  She bakes her patties, rather than pan frying them.  Assemble your burgers on a bun along with your favorite condiments.  This is a healthy and delicious recipe.  Try it and Enjoy. Oatmeal Tempeh “Meatloaf” by “LowSaltVegDudes”

capture_14012015_132332This is an easy and tasty recipe with healthy ingredients.  They steam bite size tempeh pieces, and cook some oatmeal.  They saute onions,  garlic and seasonings, add tomatoes and then combine all these ingredients in a blender.  The blended mixture is placed in a baking pan, topped with marinara sauce, and baked.  This is an easy way to prepare a healthy version of a typical comfort food, “meatloaf”.  Expand your taste horizons, and try it.  Enjoy. Chocolate Fudge Brownies by Anja

capture_13122014_122245You wouldn’t believe you could make chocolate brownies with these healthy ingredients.  In a blender, Anja adds black beans, bananas, brown rice malt syrup,  cinnamon powder, cocoa powder, and vanilla powder.  After she blends the mixture, shes adds oats, and pours her batter into her pan and bakes it.  She likes to serve them with chocolate mouse.  Wonderful!  Try it, and Enjoy. Hearty Lentil Loaf by Chef AJ and Dr. Matt

capture_03122014_144808Do you like meatloaf for dinner or on a sandwich?  Chef AJ shows how to make a very healthy alternative to a traditional meatloaf.  She only needs a food processor and an oven.  However, she did use a coffee grinder to create a powder from sun dried tomatoes packaged without oil, which she uses as a seasoning.  This recipe includes healthy grains and legumes, no salt, and no oil.  She uses oats instead of an egg to act as a binder.  It gets better after is sits for a day.  So, it can be a good make ahead dish.  Enjoy. Smoked Paprika “Cheese” by Anja

capture_22102014_141733Many non dairy cheese substitutes are made with nuts or soy products.  In this video recipe, Anja demonstrates how to make a non-dairy cheese substitute with oats, sweet potatoes, red bell peppers, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika and other spices, and lemon juice.  She blends the mixture.  She then makes an agar agar and water mixture, which she adds to and blends with the previous blended mixture.  She places this combination into molds, which she places in the refrigerator  After this “cheese” mixture has set up, she then enjoys her non-dairy “cheese”.  You can tell Anja enjoys creating and preparing vegan recipes.  You should try this too.  You can experiment with adding different herbs and spices.  I’ll bet you will be pleased with it. Crispy Chickenless (Tofu) Nuggets (Baked & Fried) by Bhavna Patel

Not Yo Mama’s Meatloaf by Cobi Kim
